A quite unknown pair of interacting galaxies is shown here. Dusty ESO 240-11 shining at mag 13.2 is the edge-on spiral in the upper part of the field, ESO 240-10 at mag 12.6 is the elliptical galaxy in the lower part showing 2 bright cores and tidal extensions.
Many fine details can be spotted in ESO 240-11.
