NGC908 is a fairly bright spiral galaxy (type SA(s)C) in the constellation of Cetus of a visual magnitude of m10.5. The real distance is about 55 million light-years,its apparent size is 6.0. x 2.6 arc minutes.
It is a starburst galaxy with intense star-formation areas. Its morphology is very peculiar and there must have been a close encounter with another not yet known galaxy.
There were observed two supernovae;one in 1994 and another in 2004.Its the main galaxy of a little galaxy group, further containing NGC 899, NGC 907 and IC 223.
