NGC 5846/5850 Galaxy Pair in Virgo

NGC 5850 is a disrupted barred SBb type spiral galaxy in Virgo that is thought to have formed due to a high speed encounter with the massive elliptical galaxy NGC 5846, also shown to the right in the below image.

NGC 5850 is about 4.5' x 3.5' with a mag of 11.5, whereas the elliptical is mag 10.1. The smaller elliptical just at the right border is NGC 5845 at mag 13.5.
