This Galaxy-Group,also named ARP332, consists of various small galaxies, the brightest of which is NGC1228 (13.3mag).Sized only 1.6 by 0.8 arc-minutes,it´s still the largest member of this group.
NGC1229 is a Seyfert-galaxy type 2 and forms with the other NGC-objects a physical galaxy-chain.
Located in the constellation of Eridanus, all these galaxies were fist seen by Francis Leavenwor thin 1886.
